Installation Ice Rink Museumplein

What are ice rinks made of?

Modern ice rinks consist of several key layers and components. At the core is a cooling system made of pipes embedded in modular panels or concrete. These pipes circulate coolant to freeze and maintain the ice surface.

On top of this system, water is applied in thin layers to build up the ice sheet. The ice itself is typically around 4–6 cm thick, providing durability while maintaining efficient cooling.

Ice-World’s mobile rinks use advanced modular technology, allowing quick installation and high performance. Unlike traditional systems, these rinks are flexible and can be adapted to different locations and layouts. This makes them ideal for temporary installations, events, and commercial environments where adaptability and quality are essential.
