How long does it take to build an ice rink?
The construction time of an ice rink varies depending on the system used. Traditional permanent rinks can take months to complete, but Ice-World’s mobile ice rinks can be installed much faster. In most cases, a full rink can be built within 24 hours and be operational within a few days, depending on size and complexity.
The process starts with preparing the surface and installing the cooling system. Once connected to the chiller, water is applied in layers to gradually build up the ice. This controlled freezing process ensures strong, high-quality ice suitable for recreational and professional use.
Speed is a major advantage in event-driven environments. Whether for a winter festival or a temporary activation, fast installation reduces downtime and allows operators to start generating revenue quickly. It also enables flexible planning for venues that need to transform spaces efficiently.
