How to make an ice rink in the summer
Creating an ice rink in summer is entirely possible with the right technology. At Ice-World, we use a patented system of interlocking panels with embedded cooling pipes through which a coolant (glycol) circulates. This system is installed on a leveled surface, after which a thin layer of water is gradually frozen to build up real ice. The key is insulation and efficiency: our system minimizes heat transfer from the ground and surroundings, allowing stable ice even in warm climates.
Unlike traditional permanent rinks, mobile systems are engineered for flexibility and speed. This makes them ideal for events, shopping centers, and city activations during unexpected seasons. With proper shading, energy-efficient chillers, and continuous monitoring, high-quality ice can be maintained even in high ambient temperatures. This opens opportunities for year-round visitor attraction and revenue generation.
