We support you with all information you need to make your ice rink project succesfull. Information for instance about how to interest sponsors for your event, a detailed project plan and lots of advice.

What you have to do before you actually rent a rink

  • Set up a manageable project group to work out the initiative in detail.
  • Find out whether the site offers sufficient possibilities to rent a rink.
  • Discuss with the municipal authorities whether any market or other activities can be relocated for an outdoor ice rink.
  • Check with the municipal authorities whether a permit will be issued for the ice event.
  • Ensure that you do not have to pay any sufferance taxes to the municipal authorities.
  • Draw up an initial budget in consultation with Ice-World and examine the feasibility of this budget.
  • Are the municipal authorities prepared to provide financial support for the ice rink project?
  • Carry out an initial survey to find out how potential sponsors would respond to a request for financial support.
  • Examine whether the project will be feasible within a specific time schedule.

Do not hesitate to contact Ice-World or your dealer if you have any questions during this phase.

Once you have the answers to the above-mentioned questions, you will know whether the project is feasible. Hiring an ice rink is simple, but it will take a lot more than that to achieve your objectives. It is better to have a well-considered idea for next year than to deliver a poor project this year.

When you have all gathered the correct and convincing information, contact Ice-World or your dealer to arrange for the next stage of preparing the ice rink rental. Together we will move on to the next steps. In this phase, we will inform you which issues will have to be examined and in what order. At this stage you will need a firm quotation, because you now know what you want.
After we have provided a quotation and reserved an ice rink, you will receive a great deal of supporting information.  Remember that hiring a skating rink is easy, but achieving your objectives without making the obvious beginner’s mistakes is not so easy. Make good use of Ice-World’s experience.
