house of hockey new zealandDouglas Webber Events Ltd hosted invitational teams USA & Canada in a 3 game series throughout New Zealand,
beginning in Auckland's Vector Arena 23rd July 2011(watch the ice hockey game ), second game in CBS Canterbury Arena on 30th July and the finale in Dunedin Ice Stadium 3rd August 2011.
A fully portable NHL spec ice rink was imported from Ice-World International in Holland, to be assembled in New
Zealand's largest concert venues in order for the games to be played to audiences of up to 10,000 spectators.

The promoters delivered the best teams to ever reach our shores, representing USA and Canada in the biggest
actions sports event of the decade. Players have been recruited from a number of pro and semi pro leagues in North
America, with a combined talent pool which is unprecedented in New Zealand.
The events have been developed with the ‘Never Watched Ice Hockey Before' person in mind, so if you didn't know the
rules, ther was no worry! ‘Hockey 101' clips were being displayed on the big screen, and basic rules were mentioned in the printed program, to guide the visitors through what was happening as the action unfolded.
This was not just a game of hockey...  pyrotechnics, sound and lighting effects were included. The events were also broadcasted live in the arenas on the 40m big screen, with action replays getting up close and personal.
