Summer ice rink in Romania

A first! A mobile ice rink on the beach in high summer. Under the name “Lipton on Ice”, the 600 m² ice rink opened last summer on the Black Sea beach in Constanta, Romania. The summer ice rink was protected from direct sunlight by a canvas roof. The marquee was also closed on the sides, to prevent any gusts of wind from damaging the ice surface. Worthy of note here is the fact that the outside temperature during the day rose to over +40°C. Visitors to the beach had 2 options when it came to refreshing themselves, either a dip in the lake or a couple of turns on the ice, obviously even in swimming trunks or bikinis.“The summer ice rink is one of the most extraordinary events ever seen on Romania’s favourite beach.
