The Holland Heineken House was the home away from home for the Dutch sporting world, through-out the 2006 Winter Olympics. It was open between 9th and 26th of February 2006 to all Dutch sportsmen and women, their families, friends and supporters, Dutch officials, sponsors and media representatives. The Holland Heineken House welcomed more than 100.000 visitors. It was also open to international guests who were warmly invited to take part in this truly unique experience. The central feature of the Holland Heineken House included a 540m2 indoor ice-skating rink, delivered by the Dutch company Ice-World. Ice-World took responsibility not only for the delivery and the assembly of the ice rink, but also for the operation including ice cleaning and skate rental. Thanks to the outstanding fold-out aluminium ice rink and the great job of their staff 8000 skaters from all over the world enjoyed top quality ice at any time.
