Following its opening on the first Sunday in Advent, around 20,000 visitors piled onto what at 700 m2 is the largest mobile ice rink in the centre of Berlin. The ice rink surface was so well used that the rush of people had to be regulated from time to time. And the ice fans not only enjoyed themselves, but also served a good cause: the proceeds of around EUR 15,000 euro are going to Off Road Kids, an initiative whose streetworkers take care of street children in Germany.
Event manager Francesco Mazuhn of Eida International is also extremely satisfied with the ice rink from Ice Business: "With the mobile aluminium ice rink from Ice Business we went for the best technology from the start. The skill and experience of Ice Business helped us make the rink a massive success even in its first year. Three aluminium rinks are now planned for next season." |
