OldenburgOn Fire! - that’s what the 12,500 skaters were who enjoyed themselves during the first four weeks of January this year on the ice rink with its surface of 600 m2. Of these, 4,000 alone were schoolchildren who preferred having lessons on the ice with their classmates. Add to that the Tyrol village visitors we had, creating a fantastic atmosphere around the rink, and the participants in the curling competition, and you end up with 35,000 paying guests at Oldenburg’s first ice-fest. "That was the first time we’d put up an ice rink. So we looked for a partner who gave us a good feeling from the very beginning. Everything had to be perfect at the opening ceremony. Ice Business supported us from start to finish with its experience and supplied a very good ice rink system. There were no leaks with the aluminium system and the ice was always really good quality.
