In particular for this ice rink there was a very short time for Ice-World to assemble and dismantle the rink. Ice rink dimensions 60 x 25 metres. Closed white boarding. Assembly time with 10 people: 4 hours. Freezing time to reach 7 cm thickness: 15 hours. Melting time with boilers: 8 hours. Dismantling time with 10 people: 5 hours. On the 19th and 20th of November 2005 IMG Belgium organized Proximus Stars on Ice 2005 for the third time at Sportpaleis of Antwerp, Belgium. For this event we looked for an ice vendor that could supply us with an oval, olympic ice rink. The ice rink needed to be build up in three days (one day less than last year). Ice-World took this opportunity to prove its reputation and IMG decided to give Ice-World a chance to build the Proximus Stars on Ice 2005 ice rink. I am very pleased with the job that the Ice-world team did. Ice-World technical staff was always there to respond to our requests with great professionalism. Next to that, the quality of the ice was better than any temporary ice I had before. The ice as well as the ice rink was complemented by the world’s, best skaters participating to Proximus Stars on Ice 2005 such as Kevin van der Perren, Emanuel Sandhu, Ilia Kulik … I want to thank you for your great work and I am looking forward working with you on next years’ show. Kind Regards Igor Takacs, Vice President IMG Belgium |
