VenloLast winter season of 2003/4, we and 10 others were the first with this fold-out Aluminium ice rink. This year we used the new ice producing method. No more nightly spraying and in 12 hours we had a 7 centimetre thick layer of ice. Venlo on Ice was very successful. What a shame we were not able to get permission from the municipality for the first week in January. Working with Ice-World is absolutely no hassle. We didn’t have to contact the Ice-World service department once. That is also what we need because organising an ice rink project with tens of thousands of visitors is a lot of work. Venlo is packed out in those ice weeks, the children are outside playing and the town really revives in those dark winter days.
