 The city of Antwerp used Ice-World’s new “foldout aluminium system” for the first time when setting up its annual skating rink on the Grote Markt. Our city has been setting up a skating rink every year for the past six years now, as a “gift” to its inhabitants and visitors. Nearly 25,000 enthusiastic skaters enjoyed the excellent ice quality this year.
With the old system, it took far longer to install and dismantle the rink, and during the opening period there were always technical problems, leaks or breaks in the ice and even times when the ice was unskateable.
