Sierplein“From a social point of view, the Sierplein in Amsterdam is not the easiest of environments. In an attempt to improve matters, the shopkeepers’ association and the district authorities organised an ice rink project for the third year running. Ice-World took care of the operation of the rink itself, which left us free to concentrate on other matters. In consultation with Ice-World the concept is changed slightly every year. We started with a simple ice rink and then hired an ice rink for the Christmas period in the second year. This year we opted for a winter concept with a snow slope. This turned out to be a tremendous success. The square was humming with enthusiastic parents and children all the time. And that was exactly what we had wanted to achieve! We enjoyed dealing with Ice-World. The atmosphere among their staff is very pleasant as well. We are looking forward to organising our next event in conjunction with Ice-World.”
